Hi, I’m Katie — the ginger ‘nut’ behind the camera and the heart behind Ginger Nut With a Camera.

Based in Morden, South West London, I specialise in newborn and family photography. For over thirteen years, I’ve had the joy of capturing the most fleeting, beautiful chapters of people’s lives and I still love every moment of it, from welcoming you into my studio to delivering your final images.

As a mum of three, I know just how wild and wonderful life with a newborn can be. My goal is to create a calm, relaxed experience where you can just be,  no stress, no pressure. I’ll gently guide you while capturing the real, authentic moments that matter most.

And yes we’ll definitely have fun along the way!

We had a newborn shoot with our first daughter 3 years ago and again with our second in January at 2 weeks old. Katie has been taking pictures of my daughter and niece for the last 3 years and the results have always been fantastic. Katie’s relaxed and natural manner with the girls makes it really enjoyable for them and this is very much reflected in the end result. From the moment of enquiring Katie was professional, friendly and accomodating. Her studio was amazing and so well set up for achieving the best pictures. She instantly made my daughter feel at ease and she loved being infront of the camera. As for the pictures what we loved the naturalness and her ability to beautifully capture our children. Katie has a great balance of being very professional but also making you feel relaxed and also having a calming effect on my baby that usually spent most of the day crying! I have to say that the photos were amazing (and not just because they were of my child!)! Had a very relaxing morning with Kate whilst she took some amazing pictures of my little girl Betty! had my little boys photos done with Katie when he was 2 weeks old. She was absolutely amazing & Roman’s pictures came out even more perfect than I had imagined. She was so welcoming and lovely and being a first time mum I was a little worried at what to expect but we had breaks so I could feed the baby and settle him in between shots and he slept most of the way through.
