Hi, I’m Katie, I'm the ginger 'nut' behind the camera, the owner and founder of GINGER NUT WITH A CAMERA.
I’m based in Morden, South West London and I specialise in newborns and family photography. I have been capturing this fleeting but exciting time for people for over ten years now and I love every aspect of it. From welcoming you to my studio to seeing the final images.
As a mum of three I'm familiar with life with a newborn and aim to make the sessions as relaxed and laid back as possible, capturing your real moments and all the beauty that comes with it, in a stress-free way. Oh and I should mention we will have fun too!

We have used Katie for 3 photoshoots - one for each of our newborns and for an extended outdoor family shoot. I couldn't recommend her enough. For her beautiful (and natural) photos but also her special ability to manage a situation which could be quite chaotic! We have used Katie to capture photos of our family for the last eight years, six shoots in total and we wouldn’t go anywhere else! Katie is an absolute dream to work with! We first met her when we took our daughter for her newborn shoot at 2 weeks old- it was our first outing aside from various medical appointments and Katie made us feel so comfortable and at ease at such a crazy time. We had a newborn shoot with our first daughter 3 years ago and again with our second in January at 2 weeks old. There was no hesitation about going back to Katie, we didn’t want anyone else to do the shoot. Katie is so lovely and has a very friendly and warming way about her. We attended in November for a newborn session with my toddler. Katie is absolutely amazing! We would never go anywhere else for our family photos. I’ve never been to made to feel so welcome in someone’s house (stunning house) and beyond amazing with the kids. The newborn shoot with my 3 week old twins was a dream made lots of time so I could feed etc and let my 3 year old out to play in the family paddling pool after his photos. We have just done our yearly cousin Christmas mini shoot with Katie there’s now 5 under 5 and the pictures were incredible Thank you Katie x

We had a family shoot with my 3 year old. Katie was amazing with our son and somehow managed to get him to have fun. He was laughing and smiling the entire time. I have no clue how she did it as he's usually terrible at smiling for photo's. It was a relaxed and fun experience and this is reflected in the amazing photos. Thrilled with our family photographs taken by Katie aka Gingernut with a Camera. She is so warm and immediately put us at ease when we arrived at her studio. My twin girls were born 6 weeks early and Katie was extremely understanding at me being a bit hesitant about securing a date for the shoot due to them being in neonatal it turned out my first outing with all three children I can’t tell you how beautiful Katie’s studio is and made us feel at home. Second time I have used Katie for photos of my two young boys and both times been so thrilled with the results. had my little boys photos done with Katie when he was 2 weeks old. She was absolutely amazing & Roman’s pictures came out even more perfect than I had imagined. She was so welcoming and lovely and being a first time mum I was a little worried at what to expect but we had breaks so I could feed the baby and settle him in between shots and he slept most of the way through.
